在社會工作短短一百多年的發展歷史中，一直有個「擔心自己不夠專業」的生存焦慮，而這樣的焦慮主要是來自社會工作被擺放在「現代性」 ─ 是指在科學理性的要求下，將秩序予以普遍化、合法化，來達到對社會進行有效管理這樣的歷史洪流下，而不知不覺地形成；這是一個很有趣、可以從許多不同面向切入來進行探究的領域。本課程希望可以回到社會工作起始的幾位代表性人物與事件，以及對不同文獻資料進行深入的閱讀、對話、討論、分享，來讓同學針對在現代性下的社會工作專業文化做深入的理解與思辯，並將理解與思辯的結果轉換成影音媒介，讓更多人可以觀看，以達推介與倡議之效。除此之外，這門課也希望帶領大家思考另一個社工專業發展的可能性 ─ 創新思惟，我們將以邀請業師專講及參訪的方式，來讓同學們瞭解這個領域的最新發展概況。In the development history of social work, which is just over a hundred years old, there has always been the existential anxiety of "worrying that one is not professional enough", and this anxiety mainly comes from the fact that social work is placed in "modernity" - which means that it is based on scientific rationality. Under the historical trend of universalizing and legitimizing order to achieve effective management of society under the requirements of society, it is unknowingly formed; this is a very interesting field that can be explored from many different aspects. . This course hopes to go back to several representative figures and events from the beginning of social work, and conduct in-depth reading, dialogue, discussion, and sharing of different literature materials, so that students can have an in-depth understanding of the professional culture of social work under modernity. understanding and thinking, and convert the results of understanding and thinking into audio-visual media so that more people can watch it to achieve the effect of promotion and advocacy.
