教育目標 Course Target

統計學課程是要讓同學們學會如何去理解、描述、分析、預測我們這個充滿未知且隨機變動的世界的各種現象。所謂的「未知」,不但包括對「尚未實現的未來事件」的未知,也包括那些「雖然重要但卻無法掌握」的資訊或影響因素。無論是要評估行銷方案的成效,還是要認識並管理匯率、股價變動的風險,都需要統計學觀念的指引;因為它們都牽涉到未知、隨機的因素。因此,本課程旨在讓同學們學會統計學的基本觀念;這些觀念不但能幫助同學們順利銜接後續眾多課程的學習,還能讓同學們知道如何以合乎科學的方式去收集、處理、分析、並解讀資訊,以提升決策品質。課程內容除了介紹關於如何整理、呈現資料的敍述統計方法,更重要的是要讓同學們學會推論統計觀念,包括認識何謂隨機事件、隨機變數,並了解估計及假設檢定的原理及方法。Statistics courses are designed to teach students how to understand, describe, analyze, and predict various phenomena in our world that is full of unknowns and random changes. The so-called "unknown" includes not only the unknown about "future events that have not yet been realized", but also includes information or influencing factors that "are important but cannot be grasped". Whether you want to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing plans or understand and manage the risks of exchange rate and stock price changes, you need the guidance of statistical concepts; because they all involve unknown and random factors. Therefore, this course aims to let students learn the basic concepts of statistics; these concepts will not only help students smoothly connect to the study of many subsequent courses, but also let students know how to collect, process, analyze, and analyze data in a scientific way. and interpret information to improve decision-making quality. In addition to introducing narrative statistical methods on how to organize and present data, the course content also teaches students the concepts of inferential statistics, including understanding what random events and random variables are, and understanding the principles and methods of estimation and hypothesis testing.


課程概述 Course Description

統計方法是現今計量科學研究中最常用的方法之一,但是,隨著科技的進步、套裝軟體的發達,同學可以很容易的處理一些基本資料的分析及推論,但並不全然了解方法背後之理論基礎。因此,本課程的主要目的是建立同學能獲正確的統計基本概念。盡量以簡單、生動且易於了解的方式講授課程內容進而引發同學學習之興趣,避免艱深的內容和太多的數學推導。本課程內容包含: 1. 敘述統計:關於數據資料的描述及整理。 2. 機率論:統計推論的基礎。 3. 假設檢定。 4. 變方分析與實驗設計。 5. 迴歸分析。
Statistical methods are one of the most commonly used methods in today's quantitative scientific research. However, with the advancement of technology and the development of packaged software, students can easily handle the analysis and inference of some basic data, but they do not fully understand the reasons behind the methods. Theoretical basis. Therefore, the main purpose of this course is to enable students to acquire correct basic concepts of statistics. Try to teach the course content in a simple, vivid and easy-to-understand way to arouse students' interest in learning, and avoid difficult content and too many mathematical deductions. This course content includes: 1. Narrative statistics: description and organization of data. 2. Probability theory: the basis of statistical inference. 3. Hypothesis test. 4. Variation analysis and experimental design. 5. Regression analysis.
